This 38 yr old single woman was previously 220 lbs. With changes to her lifestyle and more exercise she lost more than 50 lbs and has kept the weight off for more than 2 years. She had recently completed her first full marathon. Despite this she was very bothered by her loose abdomen and thighs. Prior to surgery she was 5' 3" and 172 lbs. An extended abdominoplasty was needed to address her loose abdominal tissues and restore a flatter abdominal shape. SmartLipo was performed on the upper inner thigh at the same time to try and improve this area. It was hoped that she would not require a thigh lift with this strategy. Her post-op photos are taken 11 months after surgerywith her weight stable at 171 lbs. Her waistline reduced from 44.5 " before surgery to 39" after surgery. Her scars have remained hypertrophic but are improving slowly. She has completed another marathon since surgery and no longer feels a need for surgery to her upper thighs.
